LUCIAN - a photo on Flickriver

LUCIAN

            I spotted  Lucian in Central Auckland sitting by himself so I decided to introduce myself.  Lucian was a gentle and softly spoken man who was wandering the streets alone not causing any trouble or bothering anyone.  After a few minutes talking  I asked him if he needed anything. from the shops.  He replied that  he would love a large Latte with 3 sugars, so we headed to a small nearby cafe to buy one.  Before I could put my order in the young assistant said "A large Latte with 3 sugars?" I was surprised  that she knew my order before I had spoken a word. She advised me it would be $3 which seemed a little cheap for a large Latte so I questioned her to make sure she had  the correct order. She leant in and whispered softly to me with a smile on her face assuring me that the order was correct and that they knew Lucian well so they would pay for half of the Latte.   How lovely.
