Mystery of Spring 5: The Amazing Peacock

            After posting 4 photos (3 in the first comment below), looking at the back body of the peacock,  here's one of the colorful front body.   After being mesmerized by trying to photograph the front of the peacock, I began to notice how amazing the back body feathers are also.  How seldom I paid attention to them, lured away by all the bright color of the front body.  So that's why I decided to post the back body pictures first, so everyone would take a little time to look at this peacock from different angles.   I'm amazed (being new to photography) how photography is teaching me to look at things in different ways.

Hope you don't get tired of peacocks.  I have a few more photos I've worked on to share.  Several of my contacts' peacock pictures inspired me, so thank all of you who shared your peacock photos. Peacocks are "wild" in several places in Miami.  They probably started out as people's pets and got loose.  They are beautiful, but also are a bit of a nuisance for the people whose yards they live in.    They squawk loudly, especially long before dawn, waking everyone up; and they are rather messy.  They roost high in the trees at night, flying very high up.     They are very territorial.

3/27/09   #3012,  Photoshopped to enhance hue and perhaps saturation.  My camera shot colors were a little washed out- and these colors here are truer to the peacock's actual colors.  
I still have a lot to learn-- have not yet mastered exposure settings on my camera (just used Kids and Pets setting to take this picture I believe).  And I've only experimented a little with Photoshop Elements 6.  So I welcome any input about how to improve my picture taking.
