Orange tip - male

            Today is again grey and drizzly but 2 days ago we had the first sunny Spring day here and I visited my local reserve.
It was a surprise to see these as most years I have seen several species before seeing any of these, but my first butterfly photo of the year was an orange tip. I saw 3 other species for certain, though no comma seen yet this year. Orange tips were the most common sighting.
As one of my favourite UK butterflies I was delighted to see these. The 2 photos today were taken some time and distance apart, though the dandelions was the favourite stopping point for them.
