Beach Bungalow

This house overlooking the beach is characteristic of the popular "California Bungalow" style. This style was imported to Australia after 1913 and continued to be popular with builders up until the 1970s. This house called "Aroona" (an aboriginal word usually meaning "place of refreshing") was probably built in the 30s or 40s.
