A Model Church

It could be a scene from a Wes Anderson movie.

I photographed this old wooden church in the seaside hamlet of Low Head in Tasmania a few years back. Night was falling and I was pleased with the light as the old church sat waiting for a buyer (the Anglican Church which had run it since 1877 was selling during the pandemic lockdowns). www.flickr.com/photos/luminosity7/49725958252/in/album-72...

This old church sits across the road from the historic pilot station. In the 19th century this was an extremely dangerous job and it is likely the pilots and their families took comfort in this place.

Well anyway, I had the opportunity to photograph it again on Wednesday (it is now a nicely restored private residence).
