Arquería del patio de la antigua Casa-Palacio de las Aldabas, en Valladolid.

            Esta Casa-Palacio terminó de construirse al comienzo del Siglo XIV en la calle "Teresa Gil" de Valladolid. El rey Enrique IV de Castilla nació en ella en el año 1425. El rey Carlos I de España le concedió derecho de asilo en el año 1524. Su nombre procede de las once aldabas de 20 centímetros de diámetro que mantenía a lo largo de su fachada, a dos metros del suelo. Fue derruida en el año 1963 debido a su ruinoso estado. Parte de la arquería de su patio (en la imagen) se conserva en el jardín del Colegio San Gregorio, sede del Museo Nacional de Escultura, en Valladolid.

This House-Palace was completed at the beginning of the fourteenth century in the street "Teresa Gil" of Valladolid. King Henry IV of Castile was born there in 1425. King Charles I of Spain granted him the right of asylum in 1524. Its name comes from the eleven knockers of 20 centimeters in diameter that it maintained along its façade, two meters above the ground. It was demolished in 1963 due to its dilapidated state. Part of the arcade of its courtyard (pictured) is preserved in the garden of the Colegio San Gregorio, home of the National Museum of Sculpture, in Valladolid.
