Wainwright said of Brae Fell..."If all hills were like Brae Fell there would be far fewer fellwalkers". Personally it is one of my favourite hills, probably for that very reason - it is very remote and doesn't attract many visitors, yet it is an amazing viewpoint. It isn't necessarily a photogenic subject, but I think this angle does it alot of justice. There is something about these remote northern fells of the Lake District that enchant me; maybe it's the fact that they were the very first hills I stepped foot on as a young boy with my dad and 2 border terriers - this was the birthplace of my passion for fell-walking and ultimately photography. No matter where I travel in the world, this place will always feel like my home.
