High Pike, Brae Fell & Longlands Fell

A panoramic view of the northern hills of the Lake District ranging from High Pike (left), Brae Fell (centre) and Longlands Fell (right). Wainwright said of Brae Fell..."If all hills were like Brae Fell there would be far fewer fellwalkers". Personally it is one of my favourite hills, probably for that very reason - it is very remote and doesn't attract many visitors, yet it is an amazing viewpoint. It isn't necessarily a photogenic subject, but I think this angle does it alot of justice. There is something about these remote northern fells of the Lake District that enchant me; maybe it's the fact that they were the very first hills I stepped foot on as a young boy with my dad and 2 border terriers - this was the birthplace of my passion for fell-walking and ultimately photography. No matter where I travel in the world, this place will always feel like my home.

Needs to be viewed large to be fully appreciated!
