On Nov 26, 2022, the Madison Historical Society held an Open House event at the Allis-Bushnell House Museum. The event featured a new exhibit about Cornelius Scranton Bushnell, his close friend and famous engineer/designer John Ericsson, and models of the USS Monitor and its steam engine. All the rooms at the museum were 'dressed up' to impress the visitors, as these images attest.
