Wild at Joshua Tree NP 5121 - a photo on Flickriver

            This one is from my brief jog into the south entrance of Joshua Tree National Park, where the Mojave Desert meets the Colorado. There is (obviously) a lot of variety here. It was pretty windy and overcast so I didn't spend more than a couple of hours looking up more "old favorites". Especially included here is the yellow Desert Dandelion. I love them, just subtly yellow. Sometimes there can be entire carpets of them, though not this day. Also, there's a blue smattering of the Desert Canterbury Bells, some Arizona Lupine, and those stemmed balls of the Chia. Check it large, lots of stuff in there.
