Silo, Stars and Sky - a photo on Flickriver

            A scene played out throughout the country, away from glaring metropolitan lights of the city, is the procession of sky littered full of stars as it spins in a celestial axis across our Southern Sky, as is the case above Shepards Siding Silos, located between Junee and Wagga Wagga on the Main Southern Line. 

I spent two nights capturing this scene. As I only had one battery at the time, I could get only 5 'attempts' out of each night. The night before this shot, I came home with 5 blurred unusable shots. The night I got this shot, this was the 5th of my attempts with the previous 4 shots being unusable. Persistence pays off! 

The silos and surrounding infrastructure are lit up by passing cars on high beam headlights.
