… he does on most statues … but then, real contemporary admirers in the senatorial class were apparently few outside the army.

He was a decent military dictator of an emperor though, and commissioned the grandest baths so far for the people of Rome. They are still amazing today.

He also turned every free denizen of his empire into a Roman Citizen, a decision which had huge legal and fiscal repercutions on millions of people.
