Football Food For Fans - Week 4 - a photo on Flickriver

            Today's a special day. 

While I was getting my meal ready for the Philadelphia Eagles/New York Giants, I was tuned into the celebration happening in Philadelphia. The Phillies overcame a large deficit in the standings to win the National League East Division. Nice job, Phillies!

But my football food this week was tied into the New York Football Giants. Everyone knows New York bagels are the big thing, so I did a little JerseyStyle twist:
Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, sauerkraut and special JerseyStyle dressing on a bagel pannini. As a side, homemade baked potatoe chips.

As tasty as this was, the beverages were a nod to Philly: Dock Street Beer in a Chickie & Pete's glass. And, the special occasion drink: Johnny Walker Blue scotch to toast the Philadelphia Phillies.  It's got to be a special occassion for me to pour my Blue - Christmas, New Year's, the birth of my daughter...and the Philadelphia Phillies, National League East Champs!
