An Intersection Along the Trans-Canada Highway 1 (Banff National Park)

            Okay, I admit it. This image is much more than just a view of the highway intersection :-) What drew me into this image wasn't just the intersection with the nearby hillsides of trees stretching onto the horizon, but it was also the mountain peaks that towered above. Even in the late morning, the light from the sun wasn't so bright as that atmospheric haze that can sometimes ruin a view like this. I was able to use a polarizing CEP filter with Capture NX2 to bring out a much richer contrast in not just the colors but the overall image.
