The Volcanoes of Petroglyph National Monument

            A setting looking to the southeast while taking in views across the mountain desert landscape present along the Volcanoes Trail in Petroglyph National Monument. My thought on composing this image was to capture the side of this inactive volcano present to my front and have the landscape fill most of the image from edge to edge. I liked how the peak was slightly above center, but still leaving a little bit of blue skies to contrast the earth-tones. I later worked with control points in DxO PhotoLab 7 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.
