The Wikipedia indicates that this is not a native plant. The common names include oriental bittersweet, and some other names, all with bittersweet.

The Wikipedia article on the plant indicates that birds do eat this fruit, and that is one means of dispersal. However, the same article also says that the plant, including the fruit, is poisonous. The fruit is about the size of a green pea.
