Morning glory, from August 2010

This was the brightest shot in my "to upload" folder. A morning glory flower (Ipomoea), and, yes, they do open in the morning, and close in the evening. As you can see, this has five fused petals. The plants grow a lot, especially in disturbed areas, in Upstate South Carolina.
