Rescue golden retriever Millie DSC_5187

            Millie was seven years old when she was surrendered to Golden Retriever Rescue to find a new home. She came from a loving home but her owner had to move into an apartment and could not take Millie with him. Fortunately Millie soon had a happy smile on her face in her foster home and her tail hardly stopped wagging. She loved to going for walks and she started playing with her golden retriever foster brother and sisters. Millie was an XXL plus size girl when she arrived but with lots of walks and a healthy diet and lots of veggies Millie was soon on track to getting a much sleeker silhouette. Millie also had separation anxiety and always liked to stay close to her foster carer. This was a plus on the day Millie left for her new home because she did not like getting in the car and was still far too heavy to lift in. So on the big day her foster carer got onto the back car seat and Millie scrambled in to sit next to her. It was another sad parting because Millie’s foster carer had already come to love this sweet-natured girl but she knew Millie was on her way to a wonderful home with loving owners and a golden retriever brother to play with her.
