Ship that was turned into stone - a photo on Flickriver

            That's true, the story among local goes like this: A holy saint of the first century of hijri calender saw his children crying as they told him that they were afraid of infidels attacking them from the sea where their large boat was anchored. The saint after the prayer asked them" where is the sea?" and what they saw was land and the ship of the infidels turned into the monolith structure that is shown in the picture. When Britishers heard about the story they tried to destroy the rock to dispell the believes of locals but according to locals iron rods were found in the structure similar to the rods used in ships. The  rock is located in otherwise flat area near Gharo town in Thatta district. The Gharo creek is not far away from here.
