Leake Street "Banksy" Tunnel - a photo on Flickriver

            26 March 2011.  Near Waterloo Station, London.

Entrance to the Leake Street Tunnel, also known as the "Banksy Tunnel", an (unofficially) "authorized" free graffiti zone near London's south bank.  The tunnel was the site of Banksy's 2008 "Cans" art festival, and featured in his 2010 film Exit Through the Gift Shop.

A sign at the entrance, which has unfortunately been vandalized by graffiti hooligans, gives the "rules", such as they are:

THE TUNNEL
AUTHORISED GRAFFITI AREA
No Sexism.  No Racism. No Adverts.
Please take empty cans and litter home.
All painting on grey walls will be removed.
You don't have to be a gangster to paint here,
so please don't act like one.
