Morning light in the Valley of the Gods

            This is not the only spire around in the valley and this one is a spire only from this view angle. Viewed from the side it reveals itself as a gigantic, rectangular stone tablet, one where you could envision the hand of some goddess to come down to emblazon her commandments onto.
I shot a variety of images of this location from the same spot under very different conditions. When I arrived in the late afternoon there was a rainstorm coming through, later at night the Milky Way presented itself like I have rarely seen it. Before sunrise clouds had moved in again and provided a different backdrop.
My time there was limited so I mostly shot from this location. I’ll be uploading the other images one by one .
