            So here I was last night in Grand Teton National Park wondering just how good is the image stabilization on the Olympus OM-D E-M1X camera - could I actually photograph the Milky Way with this camera hand-held?

OMG - I sure can!!

Believe it or not - and you can check out the EXIF data if you don’t - I photographed this shot of the Milky Way last night for 10 seconds hand-holding this camera, without leaning on or resting my arms on anything! Wow!!

It was photographed with the M.Zuiko 8mm f1.8 Fisheye Pro lens, ISO 5000 at 10s at f1.8. 

I did notice that having the barn lit up by a passing car helped the image stabilization, as shots where the barn was just a silhouette were not as successful. So if you attempt this yourself see if you can have something in your foreground lit fairly well.

This camera continues to blow me away and is just another reason in a long, long list I have of why I am switching from Sony to Olympus.
