2019-06-15 Kansas City MO KCS2014 GP38-2 (ex-BM205)

            The photo that almost didn't happen...

I was about to head to the car as there were some pretty rough storms rolling in and wind was picking up pretty good (storm clouds in the upper left of the photo). But, one last look down beyond the signals and I saw the headlight of KCS2014 just barely shining on the rail head, so I stayed for one more.

I'm assuming this was a yard transfer, and when the train came around the corner at a snails pace, the sound of the 2 non-turbo 645s barking away in run-8 was just glorious. I get it why so many love the sound a 645...

As the train got closer, lo and behold a 2nd headlight popped around the corner resulting in a series of photos due to me playing with different exposures and F stops. This was the most workable with all the elements around (platform lights, building lights, storm light and most importantly, the Western Auto illumination timing...)

Pretty happy with this one, honestly.
