臺灣新北市淡水區 - a photo on Flickriver

            I don't know who made this photo and I have no idea what I am doing there. In fact I don't remember anything about this situation at all, although it was less than 2 weeks ago. All I remember is sitting around at the hospital, staring stupidly at the wall, about one hour later, and asking myself profound philosophical questions. Such as "why am I here" and "what has happened". I didn't know where I'm living and what my job is, but maybe that's not so unusual - my parents complain that they don't know either.

I look alright in this picture and everybody thought I was. I allegedly talked to the policeman in the white helmet, made phonecalls, no blood. But I must have known instinctively that something was wrong because when the ambulance howled along soon afterwards I willingly joined them and abandoned the bicycle at the roadside...

...where it was lying around for about 2 hours, unattended and unlocked, until my wife collected it for me. At that time we already knew that it was serious: When I took off the helmet it had three gaping cracks.
