Halloween / Samhain 2018.

            An excellent excuse for a bit of a fun and to go over the top with a 'scary' image. Three primary images shot then colour and light enhanced in Lightroom mobile and composited in Affinity Photo all on an iPad. A base image, with unlit candles to get the general lighting right, then a candlelight image exposed just for the candle flames and glow and, finally, a smoke image, lit with a handheld flash. Background trees and fog composited in, along with 'special effects' as white brush points on a black background, in colour dodge mode to create the 'sparkles'. Ended up with multiple layers and masks in Affinity — it's a pretty impressive app and has *nearly* the same core capabilities as Photoshop on a desktop. The missing features, lower performance and fiddliness of the interface are massively outweighed by the convenience of doing all this on an iPad.
