Arise From Your Slumber

Do you now hear a sweet symphony?
Beyond the hum of a machine or hammer pound,
Nature quietly sings.
Amen

Do you now see an altar where you are?
Beyond this lofty structure of brick and wood,
Life secretly unfolds in holy green.
Amen

Do you now touch a miracle before you?
Beyond this desk and pencil,
Flora and fauna are bursting in mysterious beauty. 
Amen

Do you now smell an inviting fragrance of life?
Beyond the smoke stack and tail pipe,
Nature explodes with scent unseen.   
Amen

Do you now feel a mysterious embrace?
Beyond human understanding hope follows,
Creation spills from Sophia’s cup.
