Club House, Hollywood Park Race Track, Arthur Froehlich 1949

            Architect Arthur Froehlich designed the Streamline Moderne style Club House at the Hollywood Park Race Track in 1949.  One of America's most beautiful racetracks, Hollywood Park was situated in Inglewood, California where the summer visitor  was able to experience the double thrill of watching the "Sport of Kings" and mingle with Movielands' most glamorous personalities.  Horseracing ceased in December 2013; the track was demolished in stages from 2014 until 2016.  The site will be the future home of  SoFi Stadium and the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL) and a 6,000 seat performance arts venue, the Hollywood Park Casino, and the NFL Media building.
