Money isn't everything, but that doesn't discount how important it is. From basic needs to superfluous wants, money dictates the way we live.

It's tough however to live in the third world. You earn third world money but still have to spend it on first world priced goods. 

A pair of Nike's for example costs the same anywhere in the world. Not taking into account daily expenses, it will take a minimum-waged Filipino about twelve days to afford a pair. A minimum waged American would need only ten hours of work.

Thus is the value of our peso.
