Keadue to Leitrim Village - Trap Racing

            I was working in the area and saw most of this event. The race was from Keadue to Leitrim Village and the horses and ponies were rested in Leitrim before the return leg of the race back to Keadue. An area of this sport has got a lot of justifable bad press recently but this event was organised very well and all safety precautions were in place. I was surprised at how fast and smooth this mode of transport is but I don't think I will be getting rid of the car just yet!. I've included a few more shots below:
