the geek behind the curtain: one shot taken with a hand-held, point-and-shoot camera and processed with the Open Source ("free") program called GIMP, plus a trial version of DAP. this was run through DAP three times, and then those three versions plus the original shot were blended together in GIMP using erasers, layer masks, and clone tools.
