Marketplace, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK

            This is the marketplace, anyway: a large open space in front of the Old Town Hall, frequently occupied by market stalls including this florist in a classic Citroën HY van; I think it may be St. Peter's Street.  The street named 'Market Place' (also frequently occupied by market stalls) heads off the right of the image.

The Old Town Hall was designed by George Smith and built in 1831 to combine a council chamber, civic ballroom/assembly room and magistrates' court.  Now Grade II* Listed, it accommodates a Tourist Information office but otherwise seems to be an events venue; the pre-Victorian courtroom is also a filming location.
