Though the storms came, the children played...

            I took this picture last Spring. My 3 yo son was playing happily,  oblivious on this large rock and in the distance the heavy wet black clouds slowly moved ominously across the lake.
I've never felt a wind so ominously as that day. It would prove to completely destroy our tent as we were camping that day! 
It struck me that amidst the heaviness most of us are feeling with current events, that my younger children are as carefree as ever. Of course they're disappointed they can't see their grandparents or even go to the park. My 6 yo doesn't understand why he can't go grocery shopping with Dad anymore... but besides these things they go about their day to day activities with little worry. They know all shall be fixed in the end. I find comfort in their peace and nonchalant ways. My faith requires me to also pursue this peace. A peace that passes understanding... an understanding that I must cling on to what brings me hope and comfort despite the darkness around us. Now more than ever it is a time to evaluate what we believe, what we must stand behind and recognize that in the end all will be as is destined to be. 

May you find joy and peace in these troubling times my dear friends. Hold fast onto hope!
