Abandonded Gravel Tower - a photo on Flickriver

            Drive into the Camelot Lake housing addition in Kosciusko County and one can’t help but notice what’s left of this tower structure. Where Camelot Lake is now located used to be a gravel pit owned by Sturm and Dillard Gravel Company. The structure shown here was used to load sand and gravel into railroad cars from the nearby former B & O Railroad. Trucks could also be loaded. There was a spur coming off the main railroad line into the gravel company.
