Hand on hip, a saucy flirt.

Look, a country garden
has taken root 
in her torso. How did she 
manage that without
a rake or hoe? Visitors 
to the exhibition
want to know.

It's an impressionistic
rendition, a blur of
pastel flowers with 
a few blots of red 
thrown in.

She's on permanent 
display. Butterflies 
and bees have taken 
over her organs.
Hummingbirds too.

She's got no head, and
no legs either, but says, in 
that plucky, naive 
way of hers, 
I can deal with that. I can
grow them back.
