Fall Dreams - a photo on Flickriver

Fall Dreams

            This image is from Silver Falls State Park in Oregon.  I have been struggling this season to get Fall images.  Something always seems to get in the way and this image was no exception.  I got off of work and drove as fast as I could to Silver Falls.  I got there at about 6pm, the light was fading fast, and the park closed the parking gates at 7pm.  Ok, I have an hour.  I had a very specific image in mind, down on the shore of the river near South Falls.  I knew right where I was going, I have been here dozen times but never shot the shore of the river.  I got there only to find that the path to this perfect spot was not only closed, but they built a fence across it and put up about 15 signs saying that you were not allowed down that path.  I could see my magic spot, a shore covered in yellow leaves and a waterfall in the background.  Ahhhhh gggrrrrr.  No one was there.  I could just....nope.  I was not going to be that guy.  So I walked away with my tail between my legs.  As I headed back up to the car, dejected, I looked up and saw this spot where the trail curved around a bend.  Could I shoot an image at Silver Falls, on the trails of ten falls, that did not have a waterfall in it?   Well, lets try.  I was ok with what I got.  Thought I would share it, partly because I have nothing else fall-ish to post anyway.  I clearly need to get out more.  Anyway, let me know what you think.
