Svbway - a photo on Flickriver

Svbway

            If you have been to this station in New York, you get the title.  The subway sign looks like it is misspelled, it uses a V instead of a U.  No idea why, but I am sure its a great story.  This is the modern Chambers Street Subway Station, built into the Municipal Building in Downtown New York.  I have always loved the Guastavino Tile in this station.  This time of day the front is cool, in the shade, the back is warm with the sun hitting the east side of the building. It beckons, doesn't it.
