A Xinkai HXK6630 photographed in Zhengzhou, Henan province, China.

A very interesting vehicle I saw in Zhengzhou : a rare "CKD" China-made Toyota Camry XV10.

This kind of production was developed in 1990s when to creat a JV was very difficult.
Lots of factories were opened to assemble vehicles from mainly Japanese manufacturer.
These factories were mainly located in Guangdong province (see Sanxing Motors : www.flickr.com/photos/navi84/albums/72157665459586614) but some companies were in Guangxi, Hainan, Fujian or Shanxi province.

Xinkai is located in Gaobeidian, Hebei province. As its local competitors (Great Wall, Tianma, Dadi, ...) Xinkai produced several Isuzu TF-base cheap pick-ups and 4x4s.

In late 2000s, the company produces high-end Mercedes Vito and Sprinter (probably shipped from Fujian province where Diamler produces them) for VIP transport and other ambulance/firefighter vehicles.

It is the very first time I saw this Camry made by Xinkai.
