Bird Woman of Palermo - a photo on Flickriver

            The Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires is, to me, the best area of the city.  It's quite bohemian and has a great vibe to it with lots of bars and restaurants, and overall, it's one of the safer areas of the city (though you still have to be a bit careful in certain areas at night). 

It's also heaven for street art, which puts it right up my alley, though almost all neighborhoods in Buenos Aires have quite a bit.  (San Telmo & La Boca are my other favorite areas for street art.)

It's a contrast to Recoleta, which is the sleepiest & wealthiest enclave of the city.  Recoleta is where the upper class have historically been, so it's a bit safer.
