This is Phymatostetha stellata (Guerin-Meneville,1844), however, it does not correspond fully with the type description! The type (from Malacca) has ALL the pale markings yellow/orange. This species is not photographed often.
I have come across this particular variation in colour in one other specimen of this species (from Gopeng, Perak), and I made extensive searches in the literature I have in case it should prove that it was another species, but nothing came close. I have also come across one specimen from Krung Ching, Nakhon Si Thammarat Prov., Thailand, where the spots are red (below).
This colour variation is not uncommon in Cercopidae, and can make identification somewhat difficult.
