Panda Twin Cubs Atop Climbing Structure at Zoo Atlanta, Georgia

I captured this image of the Giant Panda twins playing atop their climbing structure inside their indoor enclosure. At the Washington, D.C. National Zoo the Giant Pandas are allowed to (and do) climb the trees within their enclosure. At Zoo Atlanta, however, the trees are protected and thus the Giant Pandas must satisfy their natural climbing urges on their man-made structures.
If you have noticed, I have not identified the individual twins. This is because they are almost impossible to distinguish from one another, even by the zoo staff. In order to accomplish the task, the staff has shaved a spot on the back fur of Mei Huan. Mei Lun and Mei Huan make up the first set of Giant Panda twins born in the United States since 1987 and the first ever to survive here. The twins are kept together with their mom (Lun Lun), while the father (Yang Yang) spends the day in the enclosure next to them.
