The little gull and the sunrise - a photo on Flickriver

Being in a work related rhythm of early mornings out, paid off during the weekend. I saw already an hour before sunrise that the sky was breaking up. So I drove during the blue hour towards a spot I had in mind. But I wasn't satisfied with what I saw. So I drove to the river... and it was this little gull on the pole that had my attention.

Patiently walked towards my spot, mounted my gear and just in the right timing took this shot.... The gull took off and the the sky kept only for a few minutes before sunrise breathtaking... and thanks to this little gull I could frame this shot. It are these little things that happen, and I love it :-)
