Angelina (1889).

            I have been creating a lot of AI images this past week; usually out of old photographs. This one is different. No photographs exist of the event it is depicting. My Great-Grandmother's Mother, Angelina (Saltarini) left in a foundling wheel in the Abruzzo-Molise region of Italy. My grandmother heard the stories from my great-grandmother, and passed them down to us in a poem. She of course formed her own idea of what the foundling wheel was, and it doesn't exactly match what was likely the historical reality. However, it doesn't mean that what she described didn't happen. Anyway, today I was wishing for a visualization of that day in the earliest days of 1889 - what the scene may have actually looked like. I decided to create it. Two images are actually overlayed here, not for my usual purpose of making a composite, but rather to give it more a sense of depth. I told the AI to make the photo of the glass plate variety, that was closest to what was in use in that time. In the comments below, I will include a photograph of the poem my grandmother wrote.
