EURASIAN COLLARED DOVE - a photo on Flickriver

            A pair of these new comers to North America are regulars at my feeders. The dove was enduring two days of nearly continuous snow that had the consistency of  cold mashed potatoes. It turned into concrete when the temp. dipped well below freezing. This is our first real taste of winter.

I must experiment with a more natural perch if I continue to capture bird images in my backyard.
