IG4LB traversing the Macoupin Bottoms

            IG4LB follows Amtrak 319 south thru the Macoupin Bottoms south of Carlinville, IL.

I didn't realize until yesterday that this rugged section of track between Rinaker and Plainview, IL was never double tracked by the Chicago & Alton on account of the hills, curves, and bridge over Macoupin Creek.  Its definitely a different world from the flat prairies of Central Illinois.
