Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco - Trinidad - Church and Convent of San Francisco

            Aunque la fundación de esta ciudad está datada a principios del siglo XVI, hoy en día parece realmente que los años no hayan pasado por ella. En sus orígenes Trinidad fue un asentamiento español que fue enriqueciéndose por los cultivos de azúcar, sin embargo, hoy en día Trinidad parece haberse quedado detenida en el tiempo, y la huella colonial queda presente en cada casa, edificio o monumento que dan vida a la ciudad. Por eso a finales de la década de los ochenta fue declarada por la UNESCO Patrimonio de la Humanidad, así que visitar Trinidad es como recorrer un gran museo al aire libre mientras se conoce la historia y cultura de la población.
