Colorland - a photo on Flickriver

            In this photo you can clearly see the join where one piece of the installation is connected to another.  It looked like a big zipper.  As for the colors,  I believe the material is colored and it some places the colors blend into each other. I can't imagine how this was created.  A Small model to see if you got things right and then finally constructed on a larger scale.  It really is amazing.

The name "Daedalum" is a tribute to Daedalus a figure in Greek Mythology.  He was an architect and craftsman who designed King Minos' labyrinth that imprisoned the Minotaur.  He was also the father of Icarus who flew too close to the sun.
