frozen-stiff-me photographing my moonlit silhouette on the snowcovered ground at an outside temperature of appoximately -10° Celsius to unshakily hold the exposure-time of one whole second.

The arctic weather from Sibiria had the outside temperature in central Europe drop down to below -20° Celsius during the night. My own digital thermometer at the window showed a mimimum-record of -15.3° during 26th/27th January 2010.

Das besondere an diesem Winter war, daß die Schneefalldauer so lang war. Dieses Wetterphänomen hat es seit 30 Jahren nicht gegeben. Der Winter war zudem arm an Sonnenschein und es kam zwischendurch kaum zu nachhaltigem Tauwetter.
Die Schneedecke hielt in Marzahn vom 30. Dezember 2009 bis zum 27. Februar 2010. Die höchste Schneedecke wurde am 12. Februar mit 29 Zentimetern gemessen. Die tiefste Temperatur wurde am 26.
