Lion king carved - a photo on Flickriver

Lion king carved

            Continuing the topic of Chinese lions, this one from Beijing, in Jing Shan Park.  This one seems rather unusual: even though the female lion is always shown with a baby, this is the only one I remember seeing when the baby is climbing on the mother.

This one appeared in a few exhibitions, and even received medals at some Chinese salons.

Explored on 9/8/23 at #20.  And now, for some reason, I see only the last 20 comments, with no link to show more...  OK, two days later, it is fixed.
