Juvenile bald eagle holds on to a fish

            I haven't posted any of the Conowingo eagles for a while, time to fix it.  This guy has just emerged from the water, you can still see a few water drops around it.  It holds the fish close with both feet, hurrying to reach the safety of the trees before the big guys catch up.

Conowingo Dam on the lower Susquehanna River is a great place to see eagles in late fall.  On a good day (and in a good year) there may be several dozen of them at the same time
