100 Strangers 91/100 - a photo on Flickriver

            This is Kerry who I met when the bus I was on to Glasgow broke down at Cumbernauld Town Centre. I went for a walk before deciding to cross the road and wait for a bus back up to Fife. 
At the Bus Stop Kerry was standing waiting for a bus to work. 
Being a frequent commuter, Karen was aware of uncertainty surrounding bus timetables and so was waiting for an earlier bus than the one she needed this was to prove prophetic as the first bus didn't turn up and so she thankfully caught a bus that would get her to work just in time.
Kerry works as a Learning Disability Nurse at a out patient clinic near to  Forth Valley Royal hospital. She has been qualified 2 years and is really enjoying her work.
It was while at Secondary school that Karen started voluntary work at Redburn School working with pupils who have learning disabilities. She really enjoyed her time working at the school and it was this that inspired her to become a qualified nurse in her chosen speciality
Even when away from her c career, Karen is still involved with those with her learning disabilities as her son, Ben, was recently diagnosed with Autism.
